These are a small amount of clubs and organizations I currently represent at Tennessee Technological University. I have learned so much and will continue to incorporate the set of skills into the rest of school year and in my future. Leadership is very important to me, I have been taught so much and I will take what I have learned and teach those around me.
THE NATIONAL SOCIETY OF LEADERSHIP AND SUCCESS
MEMBER
The mission of NSLS is to recognize, cultivate, and honor leaders while making a lasting, positive change in the world. And they strive to help members discover and achieve their goals through SMART goals, and we continue to voice what we want in to achieve in life through real-world experiences this helps to ensure we have the best opportunity to achieve success in our future. There are so many positive chances to build stronger connections, seek help for fundraising and social interactions between other students like myself.
SOCIOLOGY & CRIMINAL JUSTICE CLUB
PRESIDENT
I am currently the president and i help give students the space to express their love and passion in the criminal justice field. The mission is to promote scientific understandings of social life through teaching, scholarship, and service. With the chance to advance knowledge and skills through teaching and research. I hold meetings, help oversee community service, and provide help wherever it is needed with events.
BLACK STUDENT UNION
MEMBER
BSU strived to be an oasis of community for students of color, and to educate all student on issues affecting the African-American community. The current national climate proves the importance of safe-spaces and open forums of communication on college campuses. We are a platform for all students to voice concerns about issues affecting the Black community on the campus of Tennessee Technological University. The purpose of the black student union is to act as a representative for students of color; to provide an inclusive community for self-development and unity through campus involvement and common cultural experiences.
WOMEN OF WORTH
MEMBER
The mission of Women of Worth is to challenge, mold and encourage young women to live up to their full potential of becoming high value women. They have helped to help young women discover who they were created to be and aid them on their journey to womanhood as they find their purpose. It is a safe place where empowered women join together to make meaningful connections, collaborate to make dreams come true, and to celebrate their fabulousness. I have felt nothing but graciousness as women stands beside and only build one another up. The women who are attracted to WOW are the movers and shakers of the world. They are those who want to make a difference; those who believe in the strength of a community, and those who are wanting and willing to support others, both personally and professionally.
